Greetings -
This last weekend truly seemed like a celebration of independence. Despite any type of recession that we may be in or coming out of, the mood was positive and uplifting. With more visitors to our community than seen in many years; the shops, the village, the grocery stores were all packed with happy people. This Fourth of July proved to be a sign that despite any past resistance, we as Americans still value our freedom and a chance to create family memories.
And many family memories were created here in Hamiltair at our annual BBQ. There seemed to be a bigger turn out than we've ever attended! It was heart warming to see so many happy kids running about and so many familiar faces to revisit and greet. Both old and new residents shared wonderful pot luck with delicious burgers and hot dogs grilled and provided by our association.
We also were able to enjoy the wonderful and newly improved shoreline that we are so lucky to have. What a huge difference and what a beautiful job the Hamiltair Association has done to improve the use and enjoyment of our lovely lakeside community. It truly is a place like no other.
And finally, the firework show was another huge success! Every year we think that it just got better, and it did. Wow, what a fabulous show with great color.
To top things off, we had great real estate activity and interest over the weekend! With several offers and possible sales, it looks like this year may just be the beginning of better times to come. Prices are down and seemingly the hesitation or worry that seemed to dictate our market has taken a back seat. This is all great news.
It is great to be an American! We thank you for sharing your support, your vision and continued interest in our mountain community.
